Dr. Laura Rubin will provide a talk on September 30, 2014 from 6:00 -7:30pm at Families First on the Community Campus in Portsmouth. A significant number of youth report feeling “stressed out.” Such feelings can negatively impact children’s academic functioning, social relationships, and family relationships. This talk will provide you with an understanding of how stress impacts children and practical ways to reduce stress.
Dr. Rubin will address the following key points:
1) Identify signs of stress in your child
2) Learn strategies for helping to decrease your child’s stress
3) Become more aware of how parent stress contributes to child stress.
