Upcoming Presentation: ADHD and its Impact on Executive Functioning and Emotional Well Being – Strategies to Help Your Child to Succeed

Dr. Marguerite Genest will discuss the ways in which ADHD impacts academic performance, and emotional well-being.  Students with ADHD and executive functioning deficits often experience diminished confidence and increased anxiety over time. This presentation will explain the executive functions, how they are impacted by ADHD, and more importantly, what we as parents, caregivers and professionals can do to help our children succeed.  Since the focus of our discussion will be on strategies, be prepared to learn, share and ask questions.

Marguerite Genest, Ed.D. has worked for many years with students with ADHD,  learning disabilities, and executive functioning challenges  in many capacities including counseling, academic support, educational consulting with parents, conducting psychoeducational evaluations and coaching.  She has developed and supported Social Emotional Learning curricula at private schools in Massachusetts and Maine and also conducts social skills groups. She lives in Kennebunk and loves painting the Maine seacoast.
