Dr. Carrie Chiasson Presents: Coping with Anxiety and Starting the School Year Off Right

Starting a new school year can trigger feelings of stress and anxiety in children.  Such feelings can negatively impact children’s academic functioning and social and family relationships.  Dr. Carrie Chiasson, a licensed clinical psychologist at PNC, will discuss how stress impacts children and practical ways to reduce stress, with a focus on learning to identify signs of stress, strategies for helping decrease children’s anxieties, and understanding how parent stress contributes to child stress.
