Upcoming Parent Group!

Putting the Pieces Together : How to Engage in Resilient Parenting

 Does your child struggle with making friends? Do they have difficulties managing transitions? Do you feel challenged by how best to support them? This group may be just what you need to support your parenting skills and learn strategies from other parents faced with similar challenges.

The group is designed to help parents of neurodiverse children, particularly those diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, or Nonverbal Learning Disability.

Co-Facilitators: Dr. Alyssa Maiuri and Mr. Matthew Hillyard

When: Tuesday evenings for six weeks beginning October 5, 2021, 5:30-7:00 pm.

Where: Portsmouth Neuropsychology Center, 501 Islington Street, Unit 1F, Portsmouth, NH

Cost: $400/parent or parent dyad.

Sample Topics:

✔ Maximize your parenting skills to meet your child’s needs.

✔ Learn ways to maintain healthy spouse and parent-child relationships.

✔ Learn how to obtain supports at school and outside resources for your child’s needs.

✔ Teach your child strategies to become a self-advocate.

✔ Learn ways to improve your child’s social-communication.

✔ Enhance your child’s ability to navigate transitions and utilize adaptive coping skills.
