Purpose:

The purpose of this six week, hour-long program is to teach students about the necessary habits, systems, and mindset required for success in school today and in the workplace tomorrow.  Each weekly session will focus on a specific topic and build on previous sessions.  Students will come away with an enhanced level of self-discovery, as well as explicit executive functioning tools and systems that can be applied to staying on top of tasks and assignments, keeping materials organized and monitoring their own progress.

Goals:

  1. To enhance student self-discovery as learners and independent thinkers.
  2. To develop personal systems for materials management of information, assignments and supplies.
  3. To examine the student evaluation process in school and improve readiness for tests, presentations and written assignments.
